On February 17, 2025, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee held a workshop on solutions that need to be prioritized to promote double-digit economic growth in 2025 in Dong Nai province.
The workshop was organized to mobilize collective intelligence, seek breakthrough solutions from experts, scientists, businesses, and strategic investors so that the Party Committee, government, and people of Dong Nai province can jointly determine to implement the "Plan to deploy tasks and solutions that need to be prioritized to promote double-digit economic growth by 2025 in Dong Nai province".
Attending the workshop were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc; Member of the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Thai Bao; Member of the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cao Van Quang and representatives of departments, branches, localities; experts, scientists, organizations, and enterprises in the province.
At the workshop, experts, scientists, especially strategic consultants of the province focused on making recommendations and proposing groups of solutions that need to be prioritized to promote double-digit economic growth in 2025 and the long-term development strategy of Dong Nai province in particular and of the Southeast region in general.
In 2025, the province needs to focus on removing bottlenecks in public-private investment; support businesses to invest in industrial parks, expand investment, new investment, investment in science and technology, innovation; have a mechanism to stimulate consumption, stimulate exports; identify and focus on developing economic sectors and regions with breakthrough growth,...
In terms of long-term strategy, Dong Nai's economic development cannot be separated from the general trend of green and sustainable growth in Vietnam and the world. Dong Nai's development thinking cannot be separated from that of the Southeast region. Accordingly, Dong Nai needs to exploit its strengths in industrial development; must prioritize public investment which is the basis for leading private investment.
The goal of economic growth must create consensus among the whole society in implementing the economic growth goal. Dong Nai's economic development must be connected with the key economic region of the Southeast; especially developing infrastructure, airport urban areas; developing the digital economy associated with digital transformation,...
Concluding the workshop, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc requested heads of departments, branches, units, chairmen of district and city People's Committees to seriously implement specific solutions of their units as set out in Plan No. 49/KH-UBND dated February 11, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee; strengthen coordination with the Central Ministries, branches and provinces and cities in the Region to successfully implement the set goals, tasks and solutions. Request the Department of Planning and Investment to promptly absorb all opinions of delegates at the workshop, coordinate with departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities to synthesize and advise the Provincial People's Committee to draft a Report to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council on the implementation of tasks, solutions and growth results of the province to ensure the prescribed time.
