On March 25,
2022, Dong Nai Province People's Committee held a conference to meet FDI
enterprises in the province in 2022 and awarded certificates of merit to 14
enterprises with excellent achievements in production and business activities.
The conference was attended by
Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam
Fatherland Front Committee Cao Van Quang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial
People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang, representative of the Consulate General of
Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi
Minh City, business associations, Leaders of departments and FDI enterprises.
In 2021, the total capital from attracting
new investment and increased capital was USD 1,272 million, equal to 96.1% over
the same period, and increased 15% compared to the 2021 plan (USD 1.1 billion
plan) of which 53 new projects were granted with a total registered capital of USD384.43
million, down 6.94% over the same period. Most of them are industrial production
projects located in industrial parks in the province in which investment
projects from Korea are still leading, followed by Japan, Singapore, and Hongkong...
Of the total number of newly granted projects there are 31/53 projects in the
supporting industry with a registered investment capital of USD278.68 million.
Accumulated as of December 31, 2021,
Dong Nai attracted investment from 44 countries and territories with 1,783
projects and a total investment capital of over USD32.349 billion in which leading
in terms of number and amount of investment capital are Korean projects,
followed by Taiwan and Japan.
Despite facing difficulties in production
and business activitiesm in 2021, the foreign-invested economic sector still
achieved positive targets:
- State budget revenue is about VND
15,263.56 billion, up 33% over the same period;
- Export turnover reached USD17,077.07
million, up 21.67% over the same period;
- Import turnover reached USD 15,054.5
million, up 40.69% over the same period;
At the conference, representatives of associations thanked the
support of Dong Nai People's Committee for businesses, especially during the
4th outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Businesses
also frankly discussed difficulties and obstacles of insurance policies for
foreign workers working in Dong Nai; continue to implement the policy on tax
relaxation; on infrastructure development in industrial parks; wishes to
simplify investment procedures even more, especially when businesses need to
install solar battery systems.

Conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang
shared: Today's meeting helps us better understand your concerns and problems,
thereby we will have suitable solutions for better supports. In addition
to a direct dialogue like the one we had today, if enterprises have any
problems that you need our support, we are always willing to listen and share
them with you. Therefore, you can meet us whenever you need, we will
arrange to solve the problem in a timely manner.
