​  With the common goal of strengthening coordination between departments, agencies, and People 's Committees of districts and cities to join hands to raise awareness, change behavior, behavior and responsibility of the whole society in using, manage plastic waste, ensure it is consistent with reality and effectively implement the strategic goals of the Party and State on the management and reduction of plastic waste; Effectively implementing Vietnam's initiatives and commitments to the world in solving plastic waste problems with a focus on ocean plastic waste, ensuring the prevention of plastic waste from waste sources around the world. land and sea activities, striving to make Vietnam a regional pioneer in reducing plastic waste discharged into the environment.

On June 3, 2021, the People 's Committee of Dong Nai province issued Plan No. 6061/KH-UBND on the implementation of the Project “Strengthening propaganda on plastic waste prevention in the 2021-2025 period” in Dong Nai province.

Accordingly, agencies and departments in Dong Nai province coordinate in propagating and disseminating the following main contents:

- Guidelines and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State related to environmental protection; plastic waste prevention and control.

- Harm of plastic waste and non-degradable plastic bags to the environment.

- Applying high technology in the production and recycling of plastic waste; perfecting mechanisms and policies to encourage the development of products that can be decomposed, reused, and environmentally friendly; circular economy; green economy and green growth etc.

- Experience in plastic waste prevention and control in regional and international countries; praising, honoring, commending, and rewarding advanced examples, replicating good models, good practices, and valuable initiatives in the movement of collecting, sorting, transporting and treating waste and plastic waste.​
