On April 23, 2024, at the headquarters of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, Members of The Support Industry Promotion Coordination Group had a welcome and working session with Mr. Izumi Matsumoto - The First Secretary Embassy of Japan; Mr. Takahisa Onose – Partner, Indochina Leader of Japan Business Services - Ernst Young Vietnam Co., Ltd and Mr. Masashi Nakaura - Head of Ikeda Senshu Bank representative office and members.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc An welcomed Mr. Izumi Matsumoto and leaders of partners to Coordinator Group and discuss plans for implementation activities in 2024 between the parties. He also said that the Coordination Group is ready to cooperate in implementing activities between the two sides in a practical and effective way to bring about the highest efficiency in connecting Vietnamese and Japanese businesses.
Representative of the Coordinator Group, Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc, introduced an overview of the Group's activities in recent times and shared the main activities of the Group expected to be implemented in 2024, specifically: Organizing surveys Vietnamese - Japanese businesses (May - November 2024), Organize human resource exchange event between students of schools in Dong Nai and Japanese Enterprises (August 2024) and Business Matching between Vietnam - Japan Enterpries Event (November 2024). In addition, we will coordinate with partners to regularly deploy business connection activities.

Mr. Izumi Matsumoto shared about the action plan of WT3 (Vietnam - Japan Joint Initiative initiated in April 2003, is a special cooperation between the Governments of Vietnam and Japan), the topic of WT3 is to strengthen the supply chain including developing supporting industries, the relevant agencies are the Ministry of Planning & Investment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The plan includes two main contents: Developing supporting industries, promoting localization rates and strengthening the supply chain in high value-added manufacturing. For the development of supporting industries and promoting localization rates, WT3 will coordinate with the Coordination Group to deploy successful examples of Dong Nai province's Coordination work to other provinces and cities. This content will be implemented by the Department of Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Mr. Takahisa Onose said he is very interested in the activities the Group has been implementing and will actively coordinate to achieve good results for the cooperation.

During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged many related contents and agreed to actively coordinate to implement the upcoming activities that the parties had signed, including the content of expanding the Coordination Group model to other provinces.
