Perform the functions and tasks of State management of industrial parks in the province according to the provisions of Decree No. 35/2022/ND-CP dated May 28, 2022 of the Government on the management of industrial parks and economic zones; In 2024, Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority terminated the operation and revoked Investment Registration Certificate of 44 projects in accordance with the provisions of the 2020 Investment Law and its implementing guidelines (including 41 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of 346.22 million USD), an increase of 70% in the number of projects and an increase of 121% in the investment capital compared to the same period (in 2023, 24 projects with a total registered investment capital of 156.83 million USD) and 03 domestic projects with a total registered investment capital of 322.3 billion VND.
- Of the 41 terminated FDI projects, 32 projects were terminated according to the request of the investors and 09 FDI projects according to the procedure of investment registration authority cannot contact the investor or the investor's legal representative after 12 months from the date of suspension of the project. 41 FDI projects were terminated operations for the following reasons:
+ Investors had financial difficulties and were unable to implement the project: 05 projects;
+ Ineffective business operations: 24 projects;
+ Termination due to enterprise merger: 01 project;
+ Investors terminated the project at Long Duc Industrial Park, transferring all enterprise activities to An Phuoc Industrial Park: 01 project;
+ Land lease term expired: 01 project;
+ Investment registration authority cannot contact the investor or the investor's legal representative after 12 months from the date of suspension of the project: 07 projects;
+ The investor is no longer permitted to keep using the investment location and fails to complete the procedures for change of investment location within 06 months from the date on which the investor is no longer permitted to use the investment location: 02 projects.
