MEETING WITH FDI ENTERPRISES IN 2023

​           On March 31, 2023, Dong Nai Province People’s Committee held the Meeting with FDI enterprises in 2023 at Mera Central Park Hotel and awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 enterprises with excellent achievements in production and business activities, awarded Certificates of Investment Registration. Sign investment to 05 projects.

      The conference chaired by Mr Cao Tien Dung - Chairman of Provincial people’s committee with the leaders of Dong Nai province’s administrative agencies and the participation of representatives of Consulate General of Korea in Ho Chi Minh city, Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh city, Taipei Economic & Cultural office in Ho Chi Minh city, EuroCham in Viet Nam, AmCham in Viet Nam, Kocham in Ho Chi Minh city, JCCH in Ho Chi Minh city, Business Association of Taiwan in Dong Nai, Business Association of Korea in Dong Nai, Business Association of Japan in Dong Nai, Infracstructure companies and more than 200 FDI enterprises in Dong Nai.

In 2022, the total capital of new investment attraction and increased capital was 1.15 billion USD, equal to 94% over the same period, and increased 05% compared to the plan in 2021 (the plan was 1.1 billion USD). In which, 50 new projects were granted with a total registered capital of 495.39 million USD, increased 29% compared to the same period. Most of them were industrial production projects concentrated in industrial parks in the province, in which investment projects from Korea were still leading, followed by Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

At the conference, representatives of Associations and businesses thanked the support of the Dong Nai province People's Committee for businesses and also frankly discussed the difficulties and obstacles in traffic in some industrial parks, such as: Long Duc, An Phuoc (Long Thanh District), Dau Giay (Thong Nhat District), Amata (Bien Hoa City)... are degraded, overloaded but slow to upgrade and invest. Some industrial zones have difficulties in recruiting local workers, lack of housing, schools... for workers.

       Some businesses hope to receive support and guidance for quick implementation of fire prevention and fighting registration procedures; granting work permits to foreigners, temporary residence at enterprises for foreigner labors; unexpected power outages; dust in construction of Long Thanh airport project affects production activities of enterprises as well as workers' health.

       The questions submitted before the Conference (25 questions) were answered by Departments and Units, bilingually translated into Vietnamese - English, printed into documents and gave to participants. In-person questions at the Conference (18 questions) were also answered.

Speaking at the closing of the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung thanked and acknowledged the feedbacks of businesses and directed the departments, branches and districts to quickly review according to the procedures and promptly handle for businesses, ensure that the information conveyed to the business is clear and enough because when the business still give feedbacks it means that the business is "not clear". As the head of the Provincial People's Committee, he will more closely direct departments and localities to provide the best support for businesses.
